Martensitic 410 Stainless Steel Philips Flat Head Self Drilling ScrewsSelf drilling screws have a drilling tek point. Flat heads are countersunk (cone shaped under the head) with a flat top. Phillips drive is installed with a phillips screw driver.
The self-drilling screws are made of stainless steel and have a sheet metal thread with a self-drilling cutting  point to pierce through metal steel, aluminium, wood etc., including structural steel. Stainless steel 410 is general Martensitic stainless steel, which can drill hard or thick steel after being hardened. Black zinc plated helps advance the anti-rust and corrostion performance.
The higher the TEK number the larger the drilling point to pierce heavier gauge metals. Different stainless mode for different applications.
