Theory of the equipment
In vacuum drying, the dry materials are placed in vacuum to be heated for drying, and the vacuum pump extracts air and dehumidifies to make the work chamber in a vacuum state, in the meanwhile, the moisture volatilized from the materials is extracted by the vacuum pump, to significantly expedite drying rate of materials and save energy. The condenser (if adopted) can recover the solvent in the materials. The equipment is applicable to cold drying of heat-sensitive materials that are prone to decompose, polymerize or deteriorate at high temperature, and is extensively used in such industries as pharmacy, chemical engineering food, electronics, etc.
Advantages of vacuum drier:
1.Constant heating temperature raises vacuum level and expedites velocity; constant vacuum level raises heating temperature and expedites velocity.
2.Raising vacuum degree and heating temperature can dramatically expedite velocity.
3.The heating medium can be hot water, steam or conduction oil.
4.The inner wall of desiccator adopts circular arc for transition to avoid hygienic dead angle and the phenomenon of the condensed and dewing solvent dropping to the first layer of tray to pollute the materials.
Characteristics of the equipment
1.The boiling point of material solution is lowered in vacuum to aggrandize the driving force of heat transfer of evaporator, so the heat transfer area of evaporator can be economized for a fixed amount of heat transfer capacity. The evaporator has small thermal loss.
2.In the drying process, no impurities are mixed in, which conforms to GMP requirements.
3.Being a static vacuum dryer, so the shape of dry materials is not damaged.
