The vortex flowmeter is a volumetric flowmeter that measures the volumetric flow rate of a gas, vapor or liquid, the volumetric flow rate of a standard condition, or the mass flow rate according to the principle of Karman vortex. It is mainly used for flow measurement of industrial pipeline medium fluids, such as gas, liquid, steam and other media.
Installation requirements for vortex flowmeters.
First, the installation requirements of the straight pipe section:
The flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the pipeline is inclined within 50). When installing, the flowmeter axis should be concentric with the pipeline axis and the flow direction should be consistent. The length of the pipeline upstream of the flowmeter should have a straight pipe section of not less than 2D. If the installation site is sufficient, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe section is 20D and the downstream pipe section is 5D.
Second, the installation requirements of the piping:
The inner and downstream pipes of the flowmeter installation point have the same inner diameter as the inside diameter of the flowmeter.
Third, the installation requirements of the bypass pipe:
In order to ensure that the flowmeter does not affect the normal use of the medium during maintenance, a shut-off valve (shut-off valve) should be installed on the pipe before and after the flowmeter, and a bypass pipe should be installed. The flow control valve should be installed downstream of the flowmeter. When the flowmeter is in use, the upstream shut-off valve must be fully open to avoid unstable flow in the upstream part of the fluid.
Fourth, the requirements of the external environment:
When the flowmeter is installed indoors, it must be installed outdoors. Be sure to use sun protection, rainproof and lightning protection measures to avoid affecting the service life. The flowmeter should be installed in a place where it is easy to maintain without strong electromagnetic interference and heat radiation. In order to ensure the service life of the flowmeter, the filter should be installed in front of the straight pipe section of the flowmeter. The flowmeter should be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with the ground of the high-power system.
Before installing the flowmeter, clean the debris in the pipeline: debris, welding slag, stones, dust, etc. It is recommended to install a 5 micron mesh filter upstream to block the droplets and sand. When the flowmeter is put into operation, the front valve should be slowly opened first, and then the rear valve should be opened to prevent the instantaneous airflow impact and damage the turbine.
