It is still a long way to go to crack the northeast corn

[ China Agricultural Machinery Industry News ] The corn orders signed by the cooperatives could not be shipped out, resulting in a backlog; the corn purchase enterprises have money and market, due to transportation problems, slowing down the pace of acquisitions... Recently, the northeast corn "difficult foreign trade" has become a social concern. Hot spots, although the efforts of many parties have eased, but it is still a long way to go to crack the northeast corn "difficult for foreign trade."

It is still a long way to go to crack the northeast corn
This year is the year of the northeast corn marketization acquisition. Heilongjiang Qing'an Hongguang Modern Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative and Henan Zhengzhou First Processing Enterprise signed an order for 100,000 tons of corn, and currently only 20,000 tons were shipped out. Yu Hongguang, chairman of the cooperative, said: "I know that the country does not accept corn this year. We took the initiative to find an order for the market. I didn't expect it to be so difficult to ship."
Not only cooperatives, but also large grain purchase companies are also suffering from “outside transportation difficulties”. The reporter interviewed a number of grain trading companies. They said that enterprises have money and market to buy corn, but due to transportation bottlenecks, they are not willing to make large purchases.
Recently, a trailer full of corn in front of the Bei'an Xiangyu Jingu Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. is carrying a car, stretching two or three miles. According to the company's general manager Mu Tianxue, since the corn entered the market, the subsidiaries under its jurisdiction actively participated in the acquisition. As of the evening of December 3, a total of 1.43 million tons was purchased, of which only 300,000 tons were shipped. “We don’t have the money to collect grain, the market is not selling well, and the rail transport is limited, and the steam freight is too high.”
The Qingdao office of Zhonggu Cereals and Oils Trading Co., Ltd. has acquired more than 200,000 tons of corn in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, but less than half of it was shipped out. Li Shantang, the general manager of the office, said that now the southern corn processing and feed enterprises lack a lot of grain, but they can't get out of it. We have slowed down the rate of grain collection and dare not buy it in large quantities.
In the face of the phenomenon of food “difficult to transport out”, the Harbin Railway Bureau has taken a number of measures. Such as vigorously organizing general standard containers, 35 tons of open top boxed grain, improving the efficiency of bulk grain vehicles; testing ore vehicles to transport coal, replacing some of the gondola for grain transportation; adjusting the use of passenger locomotives for some northeast express trains in the pipeline, plus The large electric locomotive is put into use, and the replaced internal combustion freight locomotive is used to rush the corn and so on.
At present, the Harbin Railway Bureau has transported more than 68,000 vehicles, about 5 million tons. Although the railway department has done a lot of work in securing the "North Grain South Transportation", due to various factors, the railway capacity can still not meet the current demand.
According to Liu Junxi, director of the Harbin Railway Administration's dispatching station, from mid-October, the demand for grain, especially corn, has exploded. At present, the number of cars in the Harbin Railway Bureau has exceeded 50,000 cars, and on November 26, it has reached 54546 cars. The number of passengers is recorded, and the transportation capacity of the Harbin Railway Bureau is currently around 10,000 vehicles.
Due to the overloading of highway control this year, the transportation cost has increased significantly. Li Fujun, deputy mayor of Suihua City, said that the cost of automobiles from Hailun City under the jurisdiction of Suihua to Weifang in Shandong rose from 260 yuan/ton to 460 yuan/ton.
In addition, Heilongjiang Province's foreign corn is mainly in Suihua, Jiamusi, Heihe and Other places. The loading is concentrated in more than 30 stations such as Fuqian Line and Midong Line. Most of the lines are not electrified railways, and some platforms are backward, which affects loading speed. In addition, before the Heilongjiang Province suffered multiple rounds of heavy snowfall, affecting the car to transport grain stocking, resulting in low loading efficiency.
In response to the current northeast corn transportation problem, Li Fujun and Heilongjiang Provincial Grain Bureau Regulation Department Director Xin Xinyu suggested that relevant departments should study and increase vehicle input, scientifically and rationally dispatch transportation organizations, increase emptying vehicles, and concentrate on using bulk grain vehicles. Greatly meet the northeast corn export demand. At the same time, the railway department and the grain, transportation and other departments should further strengthen coordination mechanisms, strengthen information communication, and strengthen transportation capacity.
The food system cadres said that in view of the current northeast railway transportation capacity and various types of material transportation needs, it is recommended to adopt a variety of transportation methods, such as ensuring green channels for fruits and vegetables, and open up green channels for road transportation, without overloading or overspeeding, Heilongjiang and Jilin transported grain transport trucks to ports such as Jinzhou Port and Bayuquan Port for free or on the freight price to provide reasonable discounts or subsidies for freight to increase the amount of grain transported by roads and divert the railway transportation.
Relevant persons also suggested that efforts should be made to renovate the backward platforms of the facilities. For enterprises far from the railway station, it is necessary to stock up in advance to further improve the efficiency of loading corn, save time for loading, and create conditions for improving transportation efficiency.

TITANIUM HEAT EXCHANGERS
In chemical processes, the use of Titanium Heat Exchangers has been found to be a cost-effective method of resisting leaks from corrosion on a process line. The following information provides additional background on Titanium, its characteristics, strengths, and how a Titanium Heat Exchanger could be the answer to corrosion in your system.
Life Cycle Benefits of Titanium Heat Exchangers
Titanium Heat Exchangers are highly cost-effective over the entire life cycle of the equipment. Properly maintained, Titanium Heat Exchangers can operate for decades, making them a very economical choice.
Titanium Heat Exchangers can:
Provide an extended service life compared to other materials of construction
Eliminate expensive downtime due to equipment failure
Do away with requirement for spare parts inventory
Provide superior corrosion resistance
Deliver high heat transfer efficiency
Accommodate high steam pressure to reduce required surface area
Eliminate breakage during handling, installation and operation due to fully-welded metal construction
Titanium the Metal
Titanium is one of several metals which fall into the category of reactive metals or corrosion resistant alloys (CRAs). Reducing or oxidizing environments, with or without chlorides, and temperatures up to 1200°F, are all possible with this group of exceptional materials. In addition to high resistance to uniform corrosion attack, CRAs can be very successful against pitting, crevice and stress corrosion.

Titanium is used as the material of construction for Heat Exchangers in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas and other industrial manufacturing environments. In these processes, aggressive fluids, often at very high temperature and or pressure, come into contact with equipment surfaces, testing the strength and corrosion resistance of the material.

Considered the workhorse of the reactive metals, Titanium is readily available. More Titanium goes into corrosion-resistant equipment fabrication than all other reactive metals combined. Please see Applications of Titanium for a more in depth look at additional uses for Titanium that includes some comparative corrosion resistance data, media, concentrations and temperatures.
