Our hard chrome piston rods are manufactured using high-quality JIS S45C steel, ensuring superior durability and performance. These rods undergo precision machining followed by a specialized surface chromium treatment, achieving a surface finish of **f7** and a minimum hardness of **HV800**. This process significantly enhances wear resistance and extends the service life of the rods, helping customers reduce long-term costs.
The corrosion resistance of our products is rigorously tested in our internal salt spray laboratory. The surface heat treatment ensures a hardness of **HRC55±2°**, with a hardened depth ranging from **0.5mm to 3mm**. After precision machining and hard chrome plating, the coating thickness reaches **20 microns ±10%**, further improving wear resistance and prolonging the rod's lifespan.
1. Chrome Plated Steel Bars:
Our chrome-plated bars are made from medium carbon cold-finished or hot-rolled steel, typically in grades like 1045. They are centerless ground, polished, and chrome plated with a minimum thickness of 0.0005", with 0.001" per side. These bars are ideal for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
2. Induction Hardened Chrome Plated Bars:
These bars are produced using advanced techniques on materials such as JIS S45C, SAE1045, or DIN CK45. They go through surface removal, polishing, induction hardening, and finally hard chrome plating with a minimum thickness of 0.0005" or 0.001" per side. This results in a highly impact-resistant bar suitable for demanding environments.
