There are 6 lights on the fiber transceiver. What does each lamp mean?

Just last month, Security Brother just completed the installation of a site's wiring and equipment, which involved more than 30 surveillance cameras and ten audio. There are not many equipments on the site, but the coverage area is quite large. It is distributed in two phases of a community. There are equipments in the periphery and inner circumference. This results in a far distance from each camera, and all equipment is far away from the equipment room. Therefore, we have also adopted fiber laying.

Is it really that all 6 lights must be bright to indicate the path? What does each light mean? With these questions, the security brother also inquired about some relevant information, and today I will share it with you and learn together.

The fiber link is unreachable. As shown in the following figure, because the power indicator of the fiber transceiver is on, it may be seen that there may be a problem with the fiber. It may also be a problem with the transceiver A and B fiber interfaces. If the transceiver A power indicator is not lit, The possible problems are as shown in the following figure:

Summary: The illumination of the FDX indicator is related to the on/off and working mode of the twisted pair. After a problem occurs, we usually first disconnect the power of the transceiver, then connect to see if the problem disappears, or replace it with the corresponding transceiver. This quickly eliminates the problem of the transceiver itself and quickly finds the cause of the failure.
