Working fire in the Lisle-Woodridge FPD, 4-21-20

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at approximately 9:01 PM, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was called to a fire alarm at 4711 St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building, leading them to classify the incident as a structure fire. After a thorough investigation, four units were deemed uninhabitable due to extensive smoke and water damage. One resident from the unit where the fire originated was taken to Edward Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other residents or emergency responders were hurt during the incident.

The fire is still under investigation, and crews are working to determine the exact cause. Residents in the area were advised to stay alert and avoid the scene until it’s cleared.
