On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at approximately 9:01 PM, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was called to a fire alarm at 4711 St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames and thick smoke, prompting an immediate upgrade to a structure fire. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that four units within the building were severely damaged by both water and smoke, making them uninhabitable. One resident from the unit where the fire originated was taken to Edward Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other civilians or emergency responders were injured during the incident.

The fire is currently under control, and investigators are working to determine the cause. The community has shown strong support for those affected, and local officials are coordinating with relief agencies to assist displaced residents.
