Bestobell Marine receives an order for cryogenic shut-off valves and check valves

Recently, Bestobell Marine received an order for a cryogenic shut-off valve and a check valve for the second Yamal project LNG carrier being built by Daewoo Shipbuilding in Korea.
Bestobell Marine has supplied valves to the first ship in the series, the first of which was owned and operated by Sovcomflot of Russia.
It is reported that the second ship was owned and operated by Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as a test ship for testing the operation of ships and ship equipment in Siberian winter sea conditions.
It is understood that the Yamal project series LNG transport ships total 15 ships, including three different ship owners, the other ship owner is Dynagas company, is currently the single largest series of LNG transport ship orders. Bestobell Marine's cryogenic shut-off valves and check valves will be used on cargo handling systems on board.
In addition, Bestobell Marine will also supply cryogenic shut-off valves and check valves for another series of NG carriers built for Daewoo Shipbuilding. The shipowner is Teekay. The ship was the first LNG carrier to use the MAN ME-GI engine.
