Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire 7-24-13

This is from Drew Gresik:

Hey everyone,
I stopped by the West Side today for a fire at 742 N Pine Street. Engine 96 was dispatched to Main FAO with a "worker, office" report as they left the station. Engine 117 arrived first on scene and reported a 2.5-story fire on the second floor and attic in the rear. I got there about 20 minutes later, and by that time, heavy fire was already visible from the upper floors.
Engines 96, 117, and 113 were actively pumping, while Tower 14 had a master stream going. Trucks 26 and 29 were also on site. Engines 23 and Trucks 35 and 53 were in staging but didn’t get deployed. Interesting side note—just as we were setting up, Engine 95, Truck 7, and Battalion 4 responded to a small fire on Kostner just south of Madison. That’s one of those days where things don’t go as planned!
Here are some of my photos from the incident.
Thanks,
Drew Gresik
