China's auto exports have entered a period of rapid growth


The national automotive product export work conference will close by the end of the day. Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce, said at the meeting that China has become the world’s second largest consumer of automobiles, the third largest automobile producer and the largest potential market, and its auto exports have entered a period of rapid growth.

Bo Xilai said that in recent years, various state departments have taken various measures to improve the export environment of auto companies, regulate export order, and safeguard the overall interests of China's auto industry. The governments of the first batch of export bases such as Shanghai, Xiamen and Chongqing have attached great importance to the development of the auto industry, strengthened their leadership, formulated plans, issued policies, invested funds, and vigorously strengthened the construction of export bases. Chery, Great Wall and other export base companies have increased their independent innovation, cultivated their own brands, vigorously explored the international market, attached great importance to product quality and after-sales service, and achieved good performance in the fierce international market competition.

Bo Xilai pointed out that China's auto industry is currently facing important opportunities for development, and it is both necessary and possible to realize the sustained and healthy development of China's auto exports. The Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to study related policies and measures, support the construction of automobile export and export bases, increase market access thresholds, and standardize automobile export order; support independent brands and foreign companies with comparative advantages; and encourage enterprises to increase their purchasing power through mergers and acquisitions. Technology and research and development capabilities; promote enterprises to carry out international cooperation and exchanges.

According to statistics, from January to July this year, the country's total vehicle exports were 294,000, an increase of 70.3%, and it is expected to exceed 500,000 units throughout the year; parts and components exports will be US$8.85 billion, an increase of 32.4%. Hefei, Guangzhou, Baoding, and Liuzhou were identified as the second batch of national automobile and auto parts export base cities in the national automotive product export work conference. 29 auto export enterprises signed a proposal to strengthen export self-regulation.
