CNPC Discusses Fine Chemical New Technology and Explores the Key Fields of Scientific Innovation and Product Development in Fine Chemicals

On November 8th, 2005, the seminar on the development of new technologies for fine chemicals in CNPC was held in Changzhou with the theme of “Exchange Technology, Promoting Cooperation, and Promoting Comprehensive Technical Progress in China's Fine Chemical Industry”. The meeting discussed how China National Petroleum Corporation has improved its scientific and technological development capabilities through technological innovation in the core areas of fine chemicals.
Experts at the meeting believe that the rapid development of science and technology in the world and the emergence of new technologies, CNPC, as the world’s tenth largest oil development and product manufacturing company, face fierce international competition and must make full use of both domestic and international resources. While introducing new technologies for petroleum and fine chemicals, we will actively carry out independent innovations and use our high-tech with independent intellectual property rights to enhance our own scientific and technological development capabilities.
At the seminar, experts and experts from CNPC introduced the development status and future trends of the fine chemical industry at home and abroad, and conducted in-depth analysis on the development and research of new technologies in this field. In addition, universities and colleges also introduced and exchanged their key scientific research fields and related scientific research achievements. Among them, Prof. Wang Yundong of Tsinghua University "Process intensification - the only way to build a conservation-oriented society", "Product-oriented development strategy of key technologies for fine chemical products, led by Director Jing Jingping of Dalian University of Technology", Professor Chen Zhixin of Zhejiang University “Fine Chemicals and Synthetic Technology”, Professor Zhang Tianyong, Tianjin University, “Application of New Nanophotocatalytic Technology in Reduction of Nitro Compounds”, Professor Li Yongji of Jiangsu Polytechnic University, “Application of Catalytic and Functional Materials in Laboratory Research”, etc. The core areas of technological innovation and product development in fine chemicals were discussed.
During the seminar, universities and participating enterprises also discussed and exchanged ideas on how to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and promote the best ways for colleges and universities to rapidly transfer scientific research results to enterprises.
