In addition, the new 6J48T gearbox introduced by Dazha Group has greatly improved the performance of light vehicles ranging from 100 to 140 hp and enhanced the high-speed operation capabilities of medium and light vehicles. In response to the needs of some dedicated engineering vehicle transmissions, Dajiao Group has exhibited the 6J65T (which can be equipped with a rear box synchronizer gearbox) to enhance the vehicle's ability to pass through rough roads and slopes.
It is reported that as early as 2004, Datong Group has jointly developed AMT automatic transmissions with Dongfeng Corporation and Beijing Institute of Technology. Currently, prototypes of large-tooth automatic transmissions have been tested for 15,000 kilometers; recently, the three have cooperated with Tsinghua University. The second phase of development is expected to be industrialized in 2008.
