This machine simulates the harmful effects of long-term outdoor exposure by exposing test samples to the most aggressive components of weathering—ultraviolet radiation, moisture, and heat. It uses fluorescent lamps to provide a radiation spectrum centered in the ultraviolet range. Moisture is provided through forced condensation, and temperature is controlled using heaters.
