New area ambulance updates

From Fire Service, Inc.: The Westchester Fire Department has placed an order for a new Wheeled Coach medium-duty ambulance, which will be built on a 2014 Freightliner chassis. This unit is expected to enhance their emergency response capabilities. Leyden Fire Protection District recently took delivery of a brand-new Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance, marking an important upgrade for their fleet. The unit is already being put to use in the field. Another recent acquisition comes from the North Aurora Fire Protection District, which ordered a new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance equipped with a Ford F450 4×4 chassis. The unit is scheduled for delivery in November and will soon join their emergency response team. In addition, the Bensenville Fire Protection District received a 2011 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance that had previously been used as a demo unit by Fire Service, Inc. This second-hand but well-maintained vehicle is now serving the community effectively. The Chicago Ridge Fire Department also placed an order for a 2014 Road Rescue medium-duty ambulance, this time on a TerraStar chassis. This model is known for its durability and performance in various conditions. Meanwhile, the Beecher Fire Protection District has acquired a new Road Rescue Type III ambulance, further expanding their emergency response options. Finally, the Schererville Fire Department took delivery of a new Road Rescue ambulance, which is already being integrated into their operations. This latest addition ensures that the department continues to provide top-quality care to residents.
