This is from Josh Boyajian:
> The Main Fire Alarm Office (MFAO) dispatched the 18th Battalion to a silent alarm at the corner of Rice and Austin around 7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015. Just 30 seconds later, Oak Park was called out for a structure fire at the same location, with the caller reporting smoke and fire coming from the third floor of an apartment building. Battalion 18 arrived on scene and informed the MFAO that there was a fire on the third floor of a three-story apartment building on the Oak Park side of the street. Engine 96 responded first and began operations. Truck 29 was the first arriving truck, and they extended the main line to the roof. There was a significant fire on the third floor. I arrived after the fire had been knocked down, but it was impressive to see both departments working together so smoothly during the incident. Here are some photos.

It's always interesting to see how different fire departments coordinate during emergencies, especially when the call involves multiple jurisdictions. The teamwork and communication were clearly evident in this response. It’s also great to capture these moments through photos, as they tell a story of bravery, professionalism, and cooperation.
