Spiral Chute Introduction
The spiral chute is a new gravity separation machine that utilizes water and the force of gravity to separate minerals based on their weight, producing heavy, middling, and light products. It is constructed from fiberglass lined with wear-resistant polyurethane and corundum cover, making it resistant to corrosion, rust, and wear. This equipment is ideal for mining and ore beneficiation, especially for placer mining in coastal areas, riversides, sandbanks, and stream banks. It features low water consumption, a small footprint, high concentration and recovery rates, and excellent adaptability.
Application of Spiral Concentrator
It is suitable for metal and non-metal ores with significant density differences such as iron, chromite, pyrite, tin ore, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, gold ore, coal, monazite, rutile, and zirconium. The spiral chute can easily adapt to various raw material sizes, densities, ore grades, and feed volumes. It is ideal for processing 0.6–0.03mm lode and placer but performs poorly with high mud content. Currently, it is widely used in the treatment of iron ore, tungsten, tin ore, niobium-tantalum ore, coastal and riverside placer, and gold ore.
Working Principle of Spiral Chute
- Install the spiral chute, adjust the vertical line, and fix it in a suitable location using timber.
- Feed the ore slurry into the two feeding openings at the top of the spiral chute using a sand pump and add supplementary water to adjust the slurry thickness.
- The slurry flows down automatically and rotates from the top. Ore and sand are separated under the influence of rotational steam and centrifugal force based on the slurry's specific gravity, grain size, and shape.
- The final ore flows into the final ore hopper and is conveyed out via pipe and picked up, while the final sand flows into the final sand hopper and is conveyed to the sand pond through pipe. Then, remove the sand pump. This completes the entire concentrating process.
