State Grid UHV DC Converter Valve Passes Type Test

The ±800 kV UHVDC transmission valve independently developed by China Power Technology Equipment Co., Ltd. has taken the lead in passing the type test in China. The converter valve has completely independent intellectual property rights, and the test items and test parameters are in full compliance with the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission. All technical indicators have reached the international advanced level, creating the highest record of fault current test parameters in the UHV DC field.
The converter valve adopts a modular structure and is easy to install and maintain on site. It has strong electromagnetic interference and shock resistance. It adopts a 6-inch rated current of 4,500A and a rated voltage of 8,500V thyristor. The performance index fully meets the ±800kV UHV. The DC transmission project construction requirements will be applied to the ±800 kV Jinping-Sulan UHVDC power transmission project.
China Electric Equipment Corporation experienced two stages of technology introduction, digestion and absorption, and independent design and development in the development of ±800 kV HVDC converter valve. At the beginning of R&D, in the face of foreign companies adopting technical blockades on the design of UHV HVDC converter valves and key components, the company successfully tested the design, manufacture, and testing of UHV DC converter valves through repeated test verification. After entering the independent design stage of R&D, the company has completed research on insulation coordination of converter valves for special-pressure HVDC transmission, calculation of electric field distribution and research on high-voltage shielding technology, seismic analysis and design, design of cooling and cooling systems, and valve control system design. X Ray Machine

The system matches with metal ceramic X-ray tube and high frequency solid insulate industrial X-ray HT generator, it applies forced cooling system to make sure X-ray machine can normally continuous work for 24 hours. The dimension of this kind of small focus X-ray tube is half of traditional focus tube, geometry unintelligibility is an important factor which affects image quality, if focus bigger, correspondingly, geometry unintelligibility is deeper, and also makes image edge much more blur; if focus smaller, geometry unintelligibility is lighter, it can improves image quality at same time, also focus is smaller can inspect smaller failure which is favor to improve X-ray RTR inspection stability.

The controlling part of system is researched and manufactured by ourselves, the intelligent main control PLC works matches with touch screen, beautiful and complete functional stainless steel panel that can display and adjust parameters much more convenient. When high voltage of system opens, there will be red light alarming signal outside of protect door, here installs interlock devices between lead door and system, in the case of opening lead door, system will stop radiation at once to assure safety of operators.
