1. Locate the foreign object that caused the puncture in your tire.
2. Remove the object carefully from the tire.
3. Apply 2-3 drops of rubber cement on the tip of the reamer and insert it into the puncture. Twist the reamer in and out while pushing it in to clean the hole and apply the cement. This will help enlarge the hole so the plug can fit through. It may be a bit difficult at first, but repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the area is clean and properly prepared.
4. Take the repair string (about 70mm long) and roll the center into the needle eye. Apply 2-3 drops of rubber cement to the end of the needle and push the needle and string into the puncture. For smaller holes, this step might be a bit tricky. Stop when about a quarter-inch of the string remains visible outside the tire.
5. Turn the handle 1/4 turn and pull the needle out. The plug should stay inside the tire. Trim the excess string so only about 1/8 inch remains.
6. Use an air compressor to refill the tire. Your tire is now ready to use again.
