The largest thrust tile hydraulic turbine unit was officially put into production

Three Gorges Group announced on April 1 that Xiluodu Left Bank Power Station No. 3 unit has completed the 72-hour test run and completed the shutdown overhaul and officially started production. So far, Xiluodu Power Station has put 14 units into production.

Different from the conventional large-size unit's alloy thrust shingles, Xiluodu Zuoan Power Station No. 3 unit is a new type of flexible metal plastic thrust shroud. It is the largest domestic and foreign capacity unit in the form of plastic thrust shunts, and it is a Harbin Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. Designed and manufactured, it has the advantages of high temperature resistance, good insulation performance, low braking speed, etc.

Xiluodu Hydropower Station is located in the Jinsha River valley section of Leibo County, Sichuan Province, which borders Yongshan County of Yunnan Province. There are nine sets of giant hydro-generating units of 770,000 kilowatts installed at the left and right bank power stations. The total installed capacity is 13.86 million kilowatts, second only to the Three Gorges Project. The Itaipu hydropower station in Brazil ranks third in the world under construction and built power stations. At present, the remaining 4 units of Xiluodu Hydropower Station are undergoing installation and commissioning, and will be fully operational before this year.
