On July 1, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an affirmative final ruling on anti-dumping and countervailing investigations of sodium nitrite originating in China. Sodium nitrite from China was ruled to have a dumping margin of 190.74%. 169.01% of the subsidy rate.
The U.S. Department of Commerce decided on November 29, 2007 to initiate antidumping and countervailing investigations on sodium nitrite from China. The Chinese companies involved include: Qingdao Hengyuan Chemicals Co., Ltd., Shandong Haihua Hualong Nitrate Ammonium Co., Ltd., etc. enterprise.
The Ministry of Commerce stated that if the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) maintains its ruling on import damages to U.S. producers, the relevant tariff decision will come into effect and the relevant ruling will be announced around August 14.
