The project made a technological breakthrough in the development of 1520mm2 wire conductor, the deformation coefficient in the compression ratio calculation formula of the molded strand, and the low-frequency self-damping characteristics of the large cross-section wire.
In recent years, China has successfully developed 900mm2, 1000mm2, 1250mm2 large cross-section wire, and obtained engineering applications, but with the development of technology and changes in relevant conditions, China's existing large cross-section wire can not fully meet the development of UHVDC technology And the needs of engineering construction, there is an urgent need to develop larger cross-section conductors to meet the requirements of safe, reliable, technologically advanced and energy-saving and environmental protection of UHVDC.
Since 2014, the project successfully developed two kinds of 1520mm2 large cross-section wire, and completed the development of related fittings, research and development of construction equipment, research on construction technology, research on anti-vibration technology and anti-dance technology for the application of large cross-section conductor. UHV engineering provides a solid technical support.
