Although energy conservation and environmental protection has caused the entire automobile industry and vehicle companies to pay enough attention, the understanding of energy-saving and environmental protection in the auto parts industry seems insufficient. In addition to the awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection needs to be improved, parts and components companies can consider the following aspects.

1. Improve technical strength and develop energy-saving and environmental protection products

R & D capabilities and levels are directly related to the company's market competitiveness, and most of the parts and components companies in China have relatively weak research and development capabilities.

Chen Guangzu, a member of the China Automobile Industry Advisory Committee, said that at present, there are very few domestic parts and components companies that can do research and development with the vehicle. The existing problems such as weak research and development capabilities and low technical content have not been effectively solved. The markets for high-end electronic controls, fuel injection systems, steering systems, sensors, and brake systems are all monopolized by foreign companies. In terms of low-end manufacturing, more and more foreign brands have landed in China, which also caused great competitive pressure.

This low R&D capability is also reflected in the R&D of energy-saving and environmentally friendly products. Such as wearing parts brakes, China's environmental protection high-performance brake pads basically rely on imports. With the development of China's auto industry, the increase in vehicle ownership, the solution to the environmental issues of auto brake pads, and the occupation of this market, the overall technical level of the domestic friction material industry is even more urgent.

2. Focus on components in the manufacturing industry

The quality of remanufactured products meets new product quality requirements. Unlike general maintenance, the cost should be only 50% of new products, 60% energy saving, and 70% material saving. It is said that the effect of environmental protection on energy conservation and emission reduction is very obvious.

The remanufacturing of auto parts and components has been developed abroad for more than 50 years, but it is still a new industry in China.

Caterpillar, the world's largest remanufacturer, predicts that China's annual auto remanufacturing scale can reach 10 billion US dollars. At present, there are only a few formal automobile remanufacturing companies in the country, and the total number of auto parts remanufacturing companies does not exceed 10. The potential for a remanufactured industry provides opportunities for component companies.

From a national perspective, the government now pays attention to remanufacturing. The State Council issued two documents No.21 and No.22, proposing that the state strongly supports the remanufacturing of used mechanical and electronic products. Deputy Prime Minister Zeng Peiyan also issued instructions and agreed to carry out auto parts as a pilot project. China's auto ownership amounted to 35.86 million, and the annual scrap amount was about 2 million, providing sufficient sources for remanufacturing.

It is reported that some companies such as FAW Dongfeng, Yuchai, Weichai and others are preparing to carry out this work.
