OPEC Secretary-General Bardiri stated on the 10th that OPEC will not be able to fill the oil supply gap caused by Iran once Iran engages with Israel or the United States. It also stated that OPEC has no war emergency plan.
The foreign ministry reported on July 10 that Abdalla Salem el-Badri, secretary general of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), said on the 10th that if OPEC interrupts its oil supply because of its engagement with Israel or the United States, OPEC There will be no capacity to fill the Iranian oil supply.
Secretary-General Badli spoke at a press conference: "I don't want to see war in Iran. I hope the issue can be solved peacefully. If war does happen, OPEC will not be able to fill Iran's oil supply.
Iran is OPEC's second largest oil supplier and its daily output is about 4 million barrels.
Badi said, "This is a huge number, OPEC can not be filled." And added that in the event of a war, OPEC has no relevant emergency plan.
Badli said that "OPEC did not have a plan to deal with the war. We have plans to deal with national disasters or similar situations, but we cannot cope with a country attacking another country."
