PH meter electrode ball broken how to do?

pH electrode, also known as pH probe, pH sensor, English name pH electrode or pH sensor, is the part of the PH meter in contact with the measured substance, used to measure the electrode potential device.
An industrial on-line pH measurement system usually consists of four parts: a pH sensor, ie, a pH electrode, a pH transmitter, an electrode sheath, and a cable.
The main reason for the breakage of the glass bulb of the electrode is due to collisions, external forces such as extrusion. Electrode bulb pressure is generally less than or equal to 0.6MPa, the common is to use the electrode as a stirrer to stir during measurement, in the use of cleaning, drying, capping and other processes to be careful, otherwise it is easy to over force and cause crushing. After it is broken, the electrode estimate will be unusable and the electrodes will have to be re-evaluated.
How to protect the electrode?
1. The electrode should be stored in a dry environment at 10°C to 30°C.
2. When the temperature is lower than -5°C, the electrode may be broken due to the freezing of the buffer and electrolyte.
3, due to transport reasons, when using the electrode, be sure to observe whether the bubble is full of solution within the bubble, if the bubble inside the bubble, the bubble should be thrown down a few times (like a body temperature rejection) to make the bubble inside Filled with solution.
4. If the pH electrode is stored under dry conditions, it must be soaked for 24 hours before use, otherwise it is difficult to calibrate.
5. When the electrode cap is not used, the electrode must be placed in buffer and not in distilled water.
6. Each electrode needs to be calibrated before it can be used with the pH meter. A two-point calibration is required for the pH electrode. Use a standard buffer (pH6.86, pH4.00, or pH9.18) for calibration.
7. Check the frequency of the measuring electrode, depending on the application conditions (degree of contamination of the application, deposition of chemical substances, etc.).
How to clean the electrode?
If the electrode bulb or diaphragm is clogged or contaminated, the following reagents can be used for cleaning:
1, fats and oils, can be cleaned with surfactant
2, calcium precipitate and metal hydroxide, can be used 10% dilute hydrochloric acid cleaning
3, sulfide precipitation (such as in the sewage treatment process), can be used 10% mixture of diluted hydrochloric acid and saturated thiourea
Protein attachments (as in the food industry) can be cleaned with a mixture of 10% dilute hydrochloric acid-saturated pepsin
5. In response to sluggish pH electrode regeneration, a mixture of 10% HNO3 and NH4F (50 g/1) can be used;
