It was reported by the Institute of Water-saving Irrigation New Technology in Wulanhaote City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, that a second-generation self-propelled multi-function sprinkler, jointly developed by the institute and Xing'anling Tractor Co., Ltd., has been successfully launched. This new model represents a significant advancement in irrigation technology, offering improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness for farmers and agricultural operators.
At the equipment demonstration site, the sprinkler was showcased for its user-friendly operation, affordability, fuel efficiency, water conservation, and high productivity. It is designed to work across various terrains, including plains, hills, slopes, pastures, gardens, and green spaces. The device operates by using a water source as its center, with a controlled water distribution radius of up to 1,000 meters. It moves forward and backward freely, making it highly adaptable for different farming conditions.
During operation, the sprinkler can micro-spray 2 tons of water per mu (approximately 0.067 hectares) while consuming only 0.1 kilograms of fuel. A single unit can cover 6 acres per hour, significantly improving irrigation speed and efficiency. In comparison, traditional farmland sprinkler systems use about 6 tons of water per mu and can spray around 3.5 acres per hour, highlighting the advancements made in this new model.
According to available information, Wulanhaote Tractor Company introduced the first generation of water-saving sprinkler irrigation equipment in 2000—the Xing'anling self-propelled multi-function sprinkler. This initial model received recognition as an extension product by the Inner Mongolia Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Machinery and was granted four national patents. This year, the company plans to mass-produce the new self-propelled sprinklers for early market launch, aiming to meet growing demand for efficient and sustainable irrigation solutions.

The whole cleaning process of the mixing truck is about five minutes.
