Wire and cable manufacturing process quality inspection points

1 Stranding process
1.1 Conduct single wire diameter inspection before going online, single wire diameter deviation must be within the process specification range;
1.2 The appearance quality of the single wire inspection shall be smooth, oil-free, no serious mechanical damage, and no serious oxidation of the copper wire;
1.3 Check the selected roller, wood mold, steel mold, shall comply with the process requirements;
1.4 Check the number of twisted single wires, arrangement, stranding pitch, stranding direction, shall comply with the process requirements;
1.5 Check the geometric dimensions of the stranded press core, should comply with the process requirements;
1.6 Check the appearance quality of the core, should be tight and round, no damage to the insulating layer of burrs, sharp edges, no single lines of protrusion and fracture;
1.7 Check single wire joints, require welding, the distance between the two joints should not be less than 300mm;
1.8 Check the quality of the cable, require flatness, no crossover, no pressure.
2 Insulation process
2.1 Check whether the selected mold meets the process requirements;
2.2 check the thickness of the insulation layer, the average of the six points and the thinnest point shall comply with the process requirements;
2.3 Inspecting the insulated wire core identification mark requires that the coloring mark has a clear color; the digital mark is clear and wear-resistant; the finished cable marking is clear and continuous; the content meets the requirements of the process and plan;
2.4 Check the quality of the insulating layer, requiring good plasticization, smooth appearance, no visible bubbles, impurities, cracks;
2.5 Examining the quality of the extruded package requires that the insulating layer be tightly packed on the conductor. No squashing, bruising, bulging, loose sleeves, or pleating should be allowed.
2.6 Check the implementation of the spark test, require all insulation core must pass the spark test, the test voltage should be added to meet the process requirements;
2.7 Insulated wire cores that have been broken through by the spark test must be rewinded, repaired, and re-tested for sparks, otherwise they are not allowed to flow downstream.
2.8 Check the quality of the cable, require leveling, no crossover, and pressure.
3 Cross-linking process
3.1 Check whether the selected mold meets the process requirements;
3.2 check the thickness of the inner and outer semiconductors, the thinnest point should comply with the process requirements;
3.3 Check the insulation thickness, require inspection of each axis cable, the average and the thinnest point should comply with the process requirements;
3.4 Each axis cable should be tested for degree of crosslinking, and the test results should be in accordance with the process regulations;
3.5 Check the appearance quality of the insulation layer, requiring that the surface be flat, no bamboo, no air bubbles and impurities;
3.6 Check the quality of the outer semiconductor surface, require smooth, flat, no impurities, wrinkles, scratches.
3.7 Check the quality of the cable, require flatness, no crossover or pressure.
4 shielding process
4.1 Check the number, direction, and overlap of the copper tape around the cladding, and shall comply with the process regulations;
4.2 check the quality of wrapping, require a flat, tight, there must be no folds, curling, leakage, bumps defects;
4.3 check the quality of copper tape welding, copper joints must require welding;
4.4 Check the quality of the cable, require flatness, no crossover, and pressure.
5 Cabling process
5.1 Checking the arrangement, pitch, and direction of the cabled insulated cores shall comply with the process regulations;
5.2 Check the size, number of layers and wrapping method of wrapping tape, and shall comply with the process regulations;
5.3 Check the appearance quality after cabling. It is required that the tape be tightly packed without any signs of being folded, damaged or missing. The filling should be full, and the appearance of the cable should be rounded. The roundness is in line with the process regulations.
5.4 Check the quality of the cable, require flatness, no crossover, and pressure.
6 isolation sleeve
6.1 Check whether the selected mold meets the technological requirements;
6.2 Check the thickness of the spacer, the thinnest point should comply with the process requirements;
6.3 Check the appearance quality of the isolation sleeve, require roundness, and must not be loose, bulging or missing.
6.4 Check the quality of the cable, require flatness, no crossover, and no pressure.
7 Installation process
7.1 Check the size of the steel strip, the number of layers, the winding direction, and the wrapping clearance, and shall comply with the process regulations;
7.2 Check the welding quality of the steel strip. It is required that the steel strip joints must be welded. The joints should be flat and firm, with no burrs, burrs or holes.
7.3 Check the quality of the package, require a round, tight, no leakage phenomenon;
7.4 Check the quality of the cable, require leveling, no crossover, and pressure.
8 outer sheath
8.1 Check whether the selected mold meets the technological requirements;
8.2 check the thickness of the sheath, the thinnest point should comply with the process requirements;
8.3 Check the quality of the protective layer, there must be no plasticization, burning, bubbles, impurities;
8.4 After the appearance of the sheath is inspected, the sheath is required to be tightly packed on the cable core. The surface is round and smooth. There must be no flattening, loose casing, bulging, missing packets, or scratches.
