The standards for electric vehicle charging and replacing facilities are expected to be introduced one after another from next year, and one will mature and eventually form a standard system.

Charge and replace the device in China

China's electric vehicle charging and replacement intelligent service network construction has entered a period of rapid development, and has now become the country with the largest number of completed and installed power stations and charging stations. As provided by the China Electricity Council, as of the end of 2011, China has completed the commissioning of 243 charging and replacing stations and 13,283 AC charging piles. State Grid Corporation and China Southern Power Grid Corporation are the most important investment and construction enterprises for electric vehicle charging and replacing devices in China.

How to make the national charging equipment unified and standardized? Xu Songlin, deputy director of the standardization work committee for electric vehicle charging facilities and director of the China National Electric Power Standardization Center, said that China has formed a coordination mechanism for electric vehicle standardization work jointly formed by the National Standards Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Energy Bureau and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Up to now, there are 25 standard plan projects related to electric vehicle charging facilities. Among them, the completion of the standard preparation, has been submitted to the standard 6; formed a draft of the approval; 11 drafts for review; 1 draft for comments; 5 preparation stages.

It is reported that the standards related to electric vehicle charging facilities mainly include the following aspects: charging interface and communication protocol standards; charging station construction and operation standards; changing power station construction standards; standards for coordination of charging facilities and power grids.

Charging station service standard Beijing solicitation

China's new energy vehicles have identified the direction of electric vehicles as the main direction, but the charging standards have not been promulgated for more than two years. All electric vehicle companies have adopted their own standards, and the matching charging piles are also self-contained. “The charging facilities are not uniform, and many resources in the country are wasted.” Some automotive industry experts have been calling on electric vehicles not to repeat the mistakes of mobile phone chargers.

The China Automotive Technology and Research Center is also one of the drafters of electric vehicle charging standards. Wu Zhixin, the person in charge of the center, revealed that the Chinese standard to be introduced is closer to the German charging standard. At present, the electric vehicle socket developed by most domestic auto companies refers to the German standard, and the implementation of the new standard will not have a major impact on domestic auto companies. Some insiders predict that China's electric vehicle standards will be announced early next year and will enter the implementation phase, paving the way for the promotion of electric vehicles in China.

Recently, seven European and American auto giants such as General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Daimler, BMW, Audi and Porsche reached an agreement and agreed to establish an international standard for electric vehicle charging in Europe and America.

China has also carried out demonstration projects for electric vehicle applications in 25 cities including Beijing and Shanghai, and introduced support and encouragement policies. According to the forecast of the China Electricity Council, the scale of electric vehicle applications will reach 500,000 in 2015 and 5 million in 2020.

In order to improve the feasibility of charging standards for electric vehicles, Beijing has recently sought public opinions on the standardization of electric vehicle charging station operation services.

It is proposed that the charging station should not replace the battery of the passenger car for more than 5 minutes. According to the opinion draft, the charging station operator shall record the operation service process.

Some experts in the automotive industry believe that the solicitation of service standards for charging stations has made the standardization of uniforms more fully and practically based. The relevant state departments have revealed that after completing the charging equipment interface standards, measurement standards, and charging and replacing power station construction standards, the standard committee It will also focus on the construction of key technical standards in the power-switching mode, such as power battery boxes and power exchange interfaces.
