A few days ago, China Environmental Protection Industry Association issued the “2008 National Key Environmental Protection Use Technology Demonstration Project†plaque for the Baosteel Blast Furnace Dry Bag Dust Removal Project to affirm the outstanding contribution made by this project to environmental protection.
Baosteel blast furnace gas dry-process bag dusting ended the era of Baosteel's water-washing gas, and its advantages of cleanliness, environmental protection, energy conservation, and high efficiency were greatly respected in the industry. As the first company in China to apply this technology to blast furnaces of 2000 cubic meters or more, Baosteel has been highly praised by the industry. All the six blast furnaces of Baotou Steel apply this technology, which will create economic benefits of more than RMB 400 million annually, adding momentum to the development of Baotou Steel.
