2. Interpolation

This method can be used at a coal point and when a coal point is not available.

1) Analytical method

Using this method, the position of many lowest coal seams can be found, and the smoothest curve can be used to join them to obtain the lowest recoverable thickness boundary line of the coal seam.

(2) Graphic method (Figure 2-8-8)

There are two holes to see coal, A hole can be taken, B hole can not be taken, and the lowest coal point can be found between the two holes. First select a certain scale to connect the two points of AB, make a straight line AC from point A vertically, and make the length of AC equal to point A to see the difference between the thickness of coal and the lowest recoverable thickness. Similarly, straight line BD is made vertically from point B, and the same scale is used to make the length of BD equal to the difference between the lowest recoverable thickness and the thickness of point B. Connect the CDs in a straight line and intersect the AB line at point E. The position of point E is the lowest available thickness point.

(3) Graph method

As shown in Figure 2-8-9, the first method is to make a set of equidistant vertical lines on the transparent paper (or polyester film), and the vertical line is made by the o point, and the distance from the a point to the two sides is equidistant. Divide so that ab = bc = cd = de = af = fg, etc. Join oa, ob, oc, od, oe, of, og... mark the Arabic digits on one end of the vertical and the radiation .

The method of use is illustrated by an example. There are two holes, M and N, M see coal L56m, N see coal thickness O.Hm, the lowest recoverable thickness is 0.5m, and find the position of coal seam thickness of 0.5m point on M and N two-hole connecting line.

There are two specific methods: first connect the two points of M and N.

First, the vertical line method is used alone. The point A on the grid paper representing L56m coincides with the point M, and the coincidence point is the center of the circle, and the grid paper is rotated so that the N point coincides with the vertical line representing 0.!7m on the transparent grid paper, and is found and transparent on the MN line. The intersection E of the 0.5m perpendicular line on the plaid paper, which is the position of the lowest recoverable thickness point.

Second, the vertical and radiation methods are used. First, find two radiations corresponding to 1.56m and 0.17m on the radiation beam, and move the transparent grid paper. With the MN connection parallel to the vertical line, make the M and N points respectively represent 1.56m and 0.17m. The radiation is coincident, and then found on the MN line segment

The intersection point F of the 0.5m radiation, which is the position of the lowest recoverable thickness point sought.
