Indian authorities are seeking cooperation with Qatar to participate in some of the major petrochemical projects in India, including the supply of LNG to Indian Oil’s planned Indore receiving station.
Other projects that Qatar may be involved in include: India’s state-owned oil and gas company (ONGC) is building a petrochemical project in the Dahej special economic zone in Gujarat, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2013; the oil company previously announced by Indian Oil Paradip petrochemical project, the project produces ethylene from naphtha and other raw materials, the annual production capacity is 1.1 million tons, feasibility study is underway; Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) plans to invest 1.25 billion US dollars in Kochi Prefecture, Japan Petrochemical project.
