This message is from Keith Grzadziel:
The Bridgeview Fire Department is set to receive a brand new Wheeled Coach ambulance. It will be mounted on a 2019 Ford F-450 chassis equipped with liquid suspension, making it one of the most advanced units in our fleet. This will be our third Wheeled Coach ambulance, and we're hoping to have it delivered by early next week at the latest.
As part of this upgrade, Ambulance 406 will be renumbered to 412 and placed into ready reserve status. Our current spare unit, Ambulance 426, has been decommissioned and will be transferred to our Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Meanwhile, our existing reserve ambulance, Ambulance 409—which was previously purchased used from the Homer Fire Department—will now serve as our primary spare.
We’re excited about the new unit and the improvements it will bring to our response capabilities. It’s always great to see our department grow and evolve with the latest technology and equipment.
