Small and medium-sized pure electric buses or breaking the market structure of new energy vehicles

After the country released a new subsidy policy for new energy vehicles and announced the promotion of cities with two batches of 86 new energy vehicles, bus companies have invested more in new energy sources, and new products and technologies have been continuously introduced to the market.

At the just-concluded 2014 Beijing International Road Transport Vehicle Show, new energy vehicles, especially pure electric buses, have no doubt become protagonists. However, the China Industry News reporter noted that, unlike in previous years, this year's pure electric vehicles are not just over 10 meters. More companies such as Yutong Bus, Xiamen Jinlong, Hengtong Electric, Futian Ouhui, Wuzhou Long and other companies have launched 6~ 8 meters of small and medium-sized electric buses.

The reporter learned that in the catalog of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the announcement of 6 to 8 meters of pure electric bus products has exceeded 50, and nearly 20 companies are making such products.

Wang Jian, a professor at Chongqing University, acknowledged this phenomenon when interviewed by China Industry News. “Currently, there are trends in electrification of public transport throughout the world. However, unlike the 12-metre pure electric vehicles in the country, the electrification trend in Europe is from small to large. In terms of energy efficiency, technological level and commercial value, Small and medium-sized electric buses are more suitable for promotion in the present."

Liu Junrui, product manager of the light vehicle product line of the Yutong Bus Product Planning Department, told China Industry News that 6 to 8 meters of pure electric buses are more flexible in terms of charging methods, charging time, and operating methods, and have obvious operating cost advantages. They are torn off electric buses. Market-oriented puzzles.

The rational return after aggressive

Referring to small and medium-sized pure electric buses, Wang Jian said bluntly that this was a rational return after China’s public transport electrification technology route “brilliant”.

Indeed, according to statistics from insiders, new energy buses have been the main force during the implementation of the new energy vehicle subsidy policy from 2011 to 2013, and the amount of subsidy received totalled more than 5 billion yuan, accounting for more than 70% of the total. However, most of these were hybrid buses. Pure electric buses only promoted 3,900 vehicles, most of which were purchased by the local government, and 99% were pure electric buses of more than 10 meters.

In September 2013, the Ministry of Finance issued the “Notice on Continuing the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles” jointly issued by four ministries and commissions. In this round of subsidy policies, non-plug-in hybrid vehicles were excluded but newly increased. The subsidy for 6~8 meters and 8~10 meters pure electric passenger car models, the subsidy standards are respectively 300,000 yuan/vehicle and 500,000 yuan/vehicle.

Changes in policy have brought about changes in the market. So at this year's bus show, 6 to 8 meters of medium-sized pure electric vehicles began to emerge.

"This shows that we are returning to rationality," said Wang Jian. In his opinion, in the past, due to the misguided subsidy policy, the purely electric passenger car's technical route appeared a certain deviation and risk: "12 meters of large electric buses carrying 3 to 4 tons of battery operation, which is energy efficiency It's a huge waste. We should learn from Europeans, start with small and medium-sized cars, and then make big cars after the battery has revolutionized."

"From the current level of technology and business value, small and medium-sized electric buses have more promotion prospects." Wang Jian said.

However, Wang Jian stressed that instead of simply replacing electric vehicles with truly new motorized thinking. "A lot of car companies do electric cars by removing the engine, installing the battery, and splitting the battery, motor, and electric control to make it purely electric."

Open electric car market gap

in Liu Junrui view, 6 to 8 meters of pure electric vehicles if the new power of thinking to do, is likely to tear the new energy automobile market collection.

“The main reason why pure electric buses are slow to promote is that their supporting charging and replacing facilities are not perfect. In the new round of 86 new energy automobile demonstration cities, there are not many cities capable of investing in large-scale charging and replacement facilities. Only a few large cities in the north, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen can be achieved,” said Liu Junrui. “And even if they can be built, their capacity for charging supplies is limited. Take Zhengzhou as an example. Before that, we invested more than RMB 30 million to build an electric vehicle charging station. However, it can only meet the charge of forty or fifty cars."

However, the small number of batteries and the rapid charging of 6 to 8 meters of electric buses have the potential to break the restrictions on high investment costs and low usage efficiency of charging stations.

Take the E7 launched by Yutong Bus as an example. It does not require the construction of a large-scale charging station. It can be charged at the bus station with a 380V power supply. It can be filled in one hour for fast charging, and it can be full for three hours with slow charging. It can also be used for household 220V. Electricity can be charged in 8 to 10 hours, and it is equipped with a portable charger, which can be charged in a convenient place with a plug-in board.

The medium-sized pure electric passenger cars introduced by several other car companies also have the advantage of “fast charging”: Futian Ouhui’s pure electric bus BJ6650 uses the LPCO fast-charging lithium battery, which can be filled in about 8 minutes in the fast charge mode; The fast-charging bus uses a fast-charged lithium battery, which can be filled in 15 minutes and travels 100 kilometers on a single charge.

In fact, charging is efficient and convenient. On the one hand, another advantage of 6 to 8 meters lies in its good economic benefits: After subsidy is deducted, the price is relatively cheap and the operating cost is low. The same Yutong E7 as an example, according to reports, the vehicle in public transport conditions, the power consumption per kilometer is only 0.3 degrees, calculated at 1 yuan per kilowatt, only 0.3 yuan per kilometer.

“If the small and medium-sized electric vehicles can be done, the market prospects are very good. There are advantages in the regional road micro-circulation network, such as the shuttle bus between the urban community and the subway station, and the free pick-up car in the store.” Wang Jian said . Liu Junrui pointed out that 6 to 8 meters of passenger cars have good applications in group official vehicles and township and town buses, and the future Yutong E7 will be tailored to meet these two different needs.

“Government subsidies are unsustainable. To truly implement large-scale promotion and application, it must be market-oriented. Marketization is based on the premise of convenient charging, low operating costs, and good economic returns. On these two points, 6 to 8 meters of pure electric buses are available. Advantages." Liu Junrui said.

Load binder, also called as chain binder,is a device used to tighten Chains that are holding loads in place on a truck bed.

There are two types of Load Binders, ratchet type and lever type, the main difference between these two types is the method to tighten the binder.

And usually a load binder is painted as either red or green, and of course we can paint it with the colors you like.

While choosing the right load binder,we'd better choose them according to the chains, make the binder and chain are of equal or very similar strength.
