Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently announced the appointment of Mr. Chris Delaney as the president of the Asia-Pacific region. He joined Goodyear on August 24, 2015 and has been responsible for the Asia-Pacific region since January 1, 2016.

Mr. Daniel L. Smytka, Goodyear’s current president of the Asia Pacific region, has served in this position since the end of 2011. From now on until the end of 2015, he will work closely with Mr. Draenei to complete the handover and achieve a smooth transition. Mr. Shi Minde will be transferred to another leadership position and will report to Mr. Richard Kramer, President and CEO.
Mr. Draene has more than 30 years of international leadership experience in Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East. In the past four years, he has served as CEO of Goodman Fielder, the largest food public company in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Kramer said: "We are very pleased that Chris can serve as an important position for Goodyear. As an outstanding leader, he has very rich experience in the Asia Pacific region. At this crucial moment, he will join Goodyear and he will surely We have made a tremendous contribution to our growth in the harsh economic environment of our region."
Mr. Draenei has held numerous important positions in his 20 years of service with Procter & Gamble. He first worked in sales and business development in North America and Europe, and later served as vice president and general manager in the Middle East and North America. Since then, Mr. Draene has served in the Campbell Soup Company for seven years and has served as head of international sales, president of emerging markets and president of Asia Pacific.
