On the morning of February 18th, a delegation led by Shakelov, Minister of Drilling Engineering Management at Lukoil, Russia, along with Minister of Drilling Niering, Mechanical Expert Dalasso, and members of the Uzbekistan National Oil Company Coordination Group, visited the Tuha Petroleum Exploration and Development Headquarters. The group included five key officials who were eager to learn more about Tuha's operational capabilities and potential for collaboration.
Lukoil is one of Russia's largest integrated oil and gas producers and ranks as the sixth-largest global oil and gas company. It specializes in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas, as well as the production and distribution of petroleum products. In 2001, Lukoil established a business relationship with the Tuha Command, and since then, the Tuha Headquarters has been committed to offering comprehensive support in engineering technology and material supply for oilfield development.
After a five-year gap, Lukoil's experts returned to Tuha for an on-site visit, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the headquarters' technical expertise, equipment capabilities, and material supply chain. This visit marks an important step toward building a stronger cooperative platform between the two organizations.
During the tour, the expert group visited several key facilities within the Materials Supply Department of the Tuha Headquarters, including the special tool library, spare parts warehouse, chemical storage area, railway siding, and the wellhead and casing pressure testing station. They were highly impressed with the efficiency and organization of Tuha's material supply system. The visit concluded with positive discussions and initial agreements on future cooperation.
This visit not only strengthens the existing relationship between Lukoil and Tuha but also opens new opportunities for joint projects and long-term strategic partnerships in the energy sector.
